DESCRIPTION :

The SI-MET College at Palluruthy and Uduma will be inaugurated by Smt.P.K.Sreemathy Teacher¸Ex.Minister for Health &Social Welfare¸Government of Kerala on 20th and 22nd November 2009 respectively. Government has also decided to start more Educational and Research institutions in Medical and Paramedical field under the Modern medicine as well as in other systems like Ayurveda¸ Homeo and Sidha .The proposals for the same are being prepared by the concerned department heads.  Two Post Basic BSc Nursing Colleges were started during the academic year 2010-11 at Thrippunithura¸ Ernakulam District and Mundur¸ Palakkad District with an annual intake of 30 students each.   During the Academic year 2011-12¸ One Post Basic B.Sc Nursing College was started at Mangattuparamba¸ Kannur District with an annual intake of 40 students.
