DESCRIPTION :

This Institute was established in the year 1972 as Food Craft Institute¸ as a registered society¸ under the State Technical Education Department¸ Sponsored by Govt. of India and Govt. of Andhra Pradesh. It was upgraded into the Institute of Hotel Management¸ in 1984 and in 1986 affiliated to the fold of National Council for Hotel Management¸ Catering Technology¸ New Delhi¸ an autonomous body set up by the Ministry of Tourism & Culture¸ Govt. of India. Since then¸ the complete process of conducting a common entrance examination¸ year-end examinations¸ providing¸ reviewing & updating of common syllabus¸ awarding of certificates and conduct of faculty development programmes is being monitored by the National Council on all India basis.
