DESCRIPTION :

Two colleges i.e¸ Jaisoorya Homoeo Medical College and Potti Sreeramulu Homoeo Medical College were started in 1967 by Dr. N.Krishna Rao and Sri Moturi Hanmantha Rao under private managements. Both colleges were taken over by the in 1972 and were merged later in 1979. The two colleges so merged were named as Dr. Jaisoorya and Potti Sreeramulu Government Homoeopathic Medical College. Earlier¸ diploma course was conducted from 1967 to 1978 under the Board of Indian Medicines and Homoeopathy. In 1979¸ the degree i.e.¸M.B.S(Homoeo) was started and affiliated to the Osmania University. From 1986 onwards¸ the college is affliated to Dr. NTR University of Health Sciences¸ Vijayawada by a legislation of Government of Andhra Pradesh Medical Science Act.
