Since B.Sc. (Nsg.) is an integral part of higher education holding a unique responsibility to provide comprehensive health care to the community¸ the nation and to the world¸ the PDSCON is committed to providing nursing education and maintaining a centre of excellence in the pursuit of higher education in nursing.
 
Nursing is an art and a science.  The practice of nursing requires a wide knowledge¸ of health care¸ appropriate skills¸ dedication and compassion.  The PDSCON utilizes principles from basic sciences¸ medical sciences¸ behavioral sciences and employs a holistic and humane approach in identifying¸ understanding and imparting training to its students for providing comprehensive nursing care to clients.
 
The development of professional skills in a nurse must be reinforced with character building. Accordingly¸ the PDSCON believes in inculcating positive social values in a student nurse to help her to live an effective life in the society.
 
The education of a nurse should transform her into a useful professional with leadership qualities to bring about positive changes in nursing.   The PDSCON therefore aims for an all round and wholesome development of the nursing student.
In keeping with the philosophy¸ PDSCON trains students through the 4 years B.Sc. Nursing course prescribed by the Indian Nursing Council¸ New Delhi.
