Roland Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences (RIPS)¸ Berhampur was established in the year 1986 by the erstwhile M/s. Roland Pharmaceuticals¸ a reputed small-scale pharma industry to promote pharmacy education. Started with D. Pharmacy course¸ the institute made rapid strides and introduced Under-Graduate and Post-Graduate courses in quick succession. It has the distinction of being the First P.G. Pharmacy Institute in the state of Orissa¸ approved by the A.I.C.T.E.  in 2000-01¸ when M. Pharmacy course in Pharmaceutics was introduced. RIPS is managed by the Governing Body¸ duly registered under Society?s Act 1860 vide Registration No. GJM No. 922-21. The institute is approved by A.I.C.T.E.¸ P.C.I. and Govt. of Orissa¸ and affiliated to Biju Patnaik University of Technology (BPUT) and Berhampur University¸ Berhampur¸ Odisha.
