DESCRIPTION :

Established on 17th July¸ 1967¸ Amguri College remains the premier institute of higher education¸ imparting knowledge to the entire locality of Amguri and its nearby area. The college is brought under the deficit system of Grant-in-Aid in 1977 and is affiliated to the Dibrugarh University¸ Dibrugarh. The college is recognized by University Grants Commission Act¸ 1950. The college offers undergraduate degrees in Arts and Commerce under the affiliating university. Besides¸ it runs Higher Secondary Courses and offers plethora of programmes in distance mode under Dibrugarh University Distance Education Council and Krishna Kanta Handique State Open University (KKHSOU).
         The College¸ enriched with all round co-education activities¸ has its widespread fame in the entire region and has now turned into a hub of more than 1500 students from all sections of the society.
          The College has completed its 50 year journey. Recently NAAC visited Amguri College and awarded Grade B+ CGPS 2.55).
