S.D. Kanya Mahavidyala, Mansa has been widely recognized for its illustrious history. It was in 1969 when a group of enlightened and farsighted philanthropists envisaged an idea of starting an institution so that girls of the area could have easy access to higher education. The brave-heart visionaries put in their blood and sweat, contributed in cash and kind, and relentlessly worked together under the able captaincy of Sh. R. R. Singla, the founder President, to translate their vision into reality. The institution is situated in an ideal and safe urban location-a focal point attracting students from around fifty five villages of Dist. Mansa. The institution is run under the aegis of Sanatan Dharam Sabha which aims to propagate Indian cultural doctrines of Karma, Upasna and Gyan and to cultivate love and harmony amongst the various sects of society. SDKMV Mansa is equally determined to foster high moral values by educating women of the rural and semi-urban areas thus preparing them for the Nation-building process.
